Answer : Yes. A candidate must have passed / appeared in the qualifying examination.
Question 03 : A candidate who is not a permanent resident of West Bengal or who did not pass qualifying exam from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal can apply for PGET or not?
Answer : Yes
Question 04 : What to do if photograph and signature are not getting uploaded or Can the photograph and signature be uploaded at some later stage?
Answer : Please check the size of photograph (20 to 50 KB) and signature (20 to 50 KB) and format of files must be JPG or JPEG, png.

Question 05 : How do i deposit the fee and by when it has to be send?
Answer : You can pay fee by online payment gateway integrated with the oniline application software.
Question 06 : I did not receive the email intimation of my application?
Answer : "APPLICATION NO." is sent by auto-response confirmation emails. Delivery of these emails purely depends upon the correctness of e-mail ID provided and policy of your e-mail service provider. They sometimes accept and sometimes divert such emails under bulk or spam mails or bounce back such mails without accepting it due to heavy number of emails generated by our application. In case of Govt. / official / company e-mail Ids, delivery is controlled by your Company Policies. Therefore, please do not expect replies from us, if you do not receive such confirmation / auto-response emails. "APPLICATION NO." is also sent by SMS to mobile number of the candidate given in the application. For the problem of service provider, department shall not be responsible for non-receipt of email / SMS.
Question 07 : What should I do if I forget my password?
Answer : If you forget or miss your Application no. and password, use “Forget Password” link option on the “Applicant Login” page. Fill all necessary information to get your Application No. and Password.
Question 08 : What is FEE to be paid?
Answer : Please refer to “Payment of Fee” page. Payable amount is either Rs. 400/- or Rs. 200/- depending on the category.
Question 9 : Will the University send my Admit Card by post?
Answer : No. Admit Card has to be downloaded from the website using your Application Number and Password already sent to be your Mobile / Email Id at the time of Online Application.
Question 10 : What is the model of examination? Please suggest some selective book?
Answer : Paper will consist of multiple choice objective type questions and will be CBT based. No specific book is recommended. Kindly refer to “Scheme of Examination” page.
Question 11 : What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page?
Answer : Speed for Applying of On-Line Application on Internet, is based on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of candidates trying to applying the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the pages for applying immediately, please retry after a gap of 30 minutes or during off-peak hours during the night.
Question 12 : How do I know that my application is applying successfully?
Answer : Successful applying is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated "APPLICATION NO." The same will be sent through an email to email ID & SMS to mobile number of the candidate given in the application.
Question 13 : Are all the courses of MAKAUT-INHOUSE eligible for GATE SCHOLARSHIP?
Answer : NO ! all the courses are not eligible for Scholarship.Only selected courses are eligible.Candidate must satisfy himself of the same if interested before making the course choice.For MAKAUT INHOUSE courses, candidate will get a prompt while choosing college/course informing him if the course is not eligible for scholarship.For other institutes, candidates must find out ,if interested, before applying for the same institute to avoid future disappointment.
